GLEE/Production evidence and the national question

CANADIAN CENTURY / PROSPECTUS & TOOLKIT

Build capacity.
Measure what changes.

Canada’s resources, human expertise, AI, robotics and industry could support a much more productive country. The task is to determine how much—and how that becomes lasting prosperity per person.

Our research follows improvements from the production process through full costs, shared resources and household outcomes. This toolkit makes the first measurement requirements inspectable.

01 / The national question

Follow the gain.
All the way through.

Extraordinary coordination is one proposed route. Ordinary adoption and targeted modernization remain credible alternatives to compare.

Useful output at full cost.

We investigate which demonstrated technologies can expand accepted production, what deployment requires and how quickly it can happen. Capital, energy, materials, skills, demand, disruption and recurring costs constrain the result.

Prosperity for Canadians.

More output must be traced through ownership, wages, taxes, transfers and prices. Real disposable income, affordability and household wealth are different outcomes. No achievable national gain or household benefit has yet been established by this work.

GLEE contributes research and engineering. Credibility grows through reproducible results, independent criticism and willing participation.

02 / Different evidence, different claims

Keep the boundary
with the result.

Historical accounts, engineering observations, planning forecasts and synthetic models answer different questions. They cannot be added into a national gain.

Five strands of the current inquiry; national feasibility remains unquantified.

03 / Run and challenge the inputs

A small tool.
A visible evidence gap.

The standard-library Python tool checks five groups of declarations before calculating conditional descriptive ratios.

SYNTHETIC / COMPLETE

An invented pair.

Accepted service, paid hours and declared costs give a reproducible arithmetic example. It is not a measured Canadian effect.

SYNTHETIC / INCOMPLETE

Missing work stays missing.

Remove paid factory hours and no comparison is produced. Unknown work cannot become zero in the denominator.

HISTORICAL / INCOMPLETE

The full project is still open.

Brock Commons supplies useful reference facts. Whole-process paid hours and a matched observed ordinary alternative remain unavailable in this record.

python3 verify.py
python3 production_contract.py examples/synthetic_complete.json
python3 production_contract.py examples/missing_paid_hours.json
python3 production_contract.py examples/brock_reference_incomplete.json

Open a terminal in the extracted folder. The complete synthetic example returns exit 0. The two incomplete examples return exit 3 with a coverage summary and no comparison; that is the expected result. Read the included contract before adapting a record.

What is checked—and what remains unverified?

Checks cover period, boundary and provenance declarations; accepted service and quality; all paid labour; resource costs; and a feasible ordinary alternative. The package includes 39 distribution, arithmetic and adverse-input checks. The Python tool and field contract retain their reviewed source bytes.

Matching, source kinds and coverage are declarations. The tool does not authenticate records or determine whether those judgments are correct. Complete inputs permit conditional descriptions; causal technology and coordination effects, ROI, national gains and household gains remain unknown.

The construction facts retain original publication URLs and hashes. The publications describe the same project and overlapping research team. They are not independent replications. Publisher PDFs are linked rather than included.

04 / The next useful evidence

Make a real comparison
possible.

One matched production case needs accepted service and quality, all paid work, full resource costs and a feasible ordinary alternative.

Measure the whole boundary.

Include design, factory, transport, site work, rework and coordination. Record capital utilization, energy, materials, disruptions and the time needed to deploy. Keep transfers separate from resource costs.

Test what coordination adds.

Retain normal capable practice in the baseline. Measure additional deployment, speed or savings alongside overhead and displacement. A bundled improvement alone cannot identify a national coordination effect.

Projects also need evidence about worker outcomes, actual rights holders, environmental effects, privacy, competition and public returns. No institution’s participation, consent or representation is implied by this research.
