Plain language for supporters before Round Zero opens.
Round Zero is a public crowdfunding campaign for the GLEE project. It is not any of the following:
GLEE operates on a two-track structure:
This structure lets GLEE stay practical and fundable now while preserving the larger public-good mission later.
The Round Zero rule is simple: Supporters are funding the build, not buying ownership.
Current state: no payments are accepted, so no refunds apply yet. The launch contribution policy is non-refundable voluntary project support by default.
When live: confirmed Round Zero contributions are non-refundable by default. GLEE may review a reversal only if required by the payment platform, applicable law, duplicate charge handling, or clear processing error. Project delays, development risk, scope changes, and changed-mind requests are not refund grounds. Full contribution-specific rules live at Contribution Terms.
Contribution size does not grant control. Whether you contribute a small or large amount, you do not gain authority over GLEE's direction, architecture, legal decisions, or team. Larger contributions may receive more SP — SP is a voice signal, not a vote that controls outcomes.
Manual review. Larger contributions may require manual review before acceptance. GLEE may decline or return contributions that create legal, payment, identity, operational, or mission-alignment concerns.
Seed Power (SP) is an internal weighting system — not a financial instrument, token, or currency. SP quantifies the attention weight your voice carries in GLEE's advisory direction system (Compass), once Compass launches.
Full Compass design is at /compass. Compass is prelaunch — no votes are being collected yet.
Every confirmed contribution may be recorded as public, anonymous, or private depending on the display preference available at contribution time. Public records can contain a public alias, supporter number, recognition class, and approximate contribution date. Private records may be counted in totals without exposing personal identity.
You choose your public alias or private display preference where the cashier and GLEE workflow support it. Real names, email addresses, and payment details are never published. See Privacy for the full data policy.
All GLEE code, research, systems, agents, architectures, designs, and documents are the property of the GLEE project operator. Contributing to Round Zero does not transfer any intellectual property rights to contributors. The GLEE codebase may include open-source components under their respective licenses.
GLEE intends to open-source significant portions of its work over time. This is a project goal, not a binding commitment in Round Zero.
GLEE Round Zero is offered as-is. No warranties are made, express or implied, about outcomes, delivery timelines, system performance, or the continuation of the project. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GLEE's liability to any contributor is limited to the amount they contributed.
No cookies, no tracking, no third-party data brokers. The full privacy policy — what's collected, what's public, what's private, data request process — is at /privacy.
These terms are prelaunch and may be updated before Round Zero opens. The current version is always at this URL. Material changes will be noted in the build log. Once Round Zero opens and contributions are live, the terms in effect at that time are the binding terms.
